This is the second house I have purchased in the last two years. Both have been through Lisa Duke Realty. One was a foreclosure and the other a short sale. Both processes are difficult at best. Their knowledge and guidance certainly made both of these purchases much less painful.

My husband and I started looking for our first house in June and a friend recommended Katie from Lisa Duke Realty.I was pretty nervous at first with this being our first house but after talking to Katie, I felt much more confident knowing that I had a competent realtor who ... only had my best interests in mind! Katie was very kind and knowledgeable and helped to educate my husband and I every step of the way. She was very prompt and returned emails or phone calls almost immediately. I am very picky and critical but she more than exceeded my expectations with showing us properties that fit exactly what we were looking for down to the last detail. She was good about informing us as soon as new properties hit the market that fit our needs and showed us how those properties measured up to others in the area. When looking at properties, she was very flexible with times, sometimes showing them to us within an hour of asking her. She was also great about pointing out things within each house that could benefit us or cause us more problems in the long run. Ultimately Katie helped us put in an offer on our first house which required a quick turn around on her part as there were other offers as well. Thanks to her expertise and professionalism, our offer was accepted and included additional terms put in by Katie to ensure our best interests were protected. Katie was very knowledgeable in the other aspects of home buying including inspectors and maintenance issues and went above and beyond her duties to help us through the process. She was present for every inspection and service done to the house and pointed out things she was concerned with and went as far as to call in an electrician to look at an issue the inspector found! She also helped me save money on closing by suggesting we ask the sellers for things they already had such as the survey! Within minutes of me asking she sent me the floor plan with dimensions for planning out carpet. She also helped me through things in the loan process that I was unsure about since I have never dealt with a mortgage before. She truly did everything she could to help us regardless of whether it was her job or not. She is such a great person and even after closing she continues to help us when we have questions about the house. I feel that having Katie as our Realtor really made this whole process an enjoyable one! A great experience from beginning to end. This was a very difficult short sale negotiation and mortgage transaction. Katie was always extremely knowledgeable, responsive and professional throughout the process. I would highly recommend her and Lisa Duke realty to anyone buying or selling a property.

I used Lisa Duke for my rental property. She showed the home for me as often as needed. They have standards they seem to stand by for the renters that they allow apply. I only know because people called me directly and when I told them to call my Realtor, ... because I wasn’t in the area, they called me back with that complaint, one person was going through forecloser at no fault of their own (house no longer worth the ground it sits on). I was sympathetic but happy they weren’t just letting anyone rent my home who may not be able to afford to do so especially since I had just experienced that with my previous renter. They did their best work collecting a deposit fee that should have been paid at the time of application and wasn’t and I had hard time collecting it from the renter myself through the mail. So when I called Lisa and explained that it wasn’t collected initially her office went by the home to collect the deposit and then continue with communication when the check didn’t clear. Other than that we have good renters who pay on time I chalked it up to communicating via phone and mail. But it surely helped to have a Realtor who stands behind and honors their contract/commitment. Read More
